About Jodie and Kevala Health

Hello, I’m Jodie from Kevala Health.

I created Kevala Health to inspire and educate everyone to be the best version of themselves. When Covid started I had to transition from my community center yoga and Pilates classes to live-stream Pilates and yoga. I then moved to Russell Island in 2021 and began teaching live Pilates classes, and core yoga flow and continue to teach live-stream classes online.

I have a passion for Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, Breathwork, and healthy living. This has helped me get through life challenges and transitions with my business. and personally. I also love exploring and learning about edible gardens and eating more plant-based foods.

I have worked in the health and fitness industry for nearly 20 years, and I have attained a diploma in exercise science, Pilates teacher certification, and level 2 yoga teacher with Yoga Australia and registered 500RYT with Yoga Alliance. I studied for two years in Iyengar yoga with Simon Marroco. I gained my Certificate IV in Massage therapies in 2003, as well as studies in aromatherapy, meditation, mental health care, and disability work. I have my Blue and yellow cards for support work. I’m currently studying more on Kundalini Yoga, Ayurveda, and breath work (pranayama) techniques.

I have participated in courses on mental health and have experience as a support worker.
