FAQ (Yoga, Pilates & Fitness) | Australian Classes
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before class begins so you have time to check in and get set up comfortably. If you are participating in a live Zoom class you can sign in 5 minutes prior.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows full movement.
For Pilates, grip socks (often called “Pilates socks”) are recommended—especially in winter, to help keep your feet warm and secure.

This applies to people who are doing a face-to-face class on Russell Island. If you are participating in Zoom, please have your zoom on ‘mute’.
To help everyone have a calm, focused experience:
• Silence your phone or set it to on silent before class.
• Keep talking to a minimum, especially during beginner classes and during class.
• Be respectful of others’ space and personal practice.
Should I let the teacher know about injuries?
Yes. If you have any injuries, limitations, or medical concerns, please let your teacher know before class so modifications can be offered safely.
Do I need to bring a mat or props?
You’re welcome to bring your own mat. If you don’t have one, there are spare mats available in class.
In addition, yoga and Pilates equipment is available in the hallway for your use.
Yoga in winter: Please consider bringing a blanket to stay warm during colder months.
If you are participating in a live online zoom Pilates, you will need a small ball, resistance bands and dumbbells if you do Saturdays Pilates with weights.

Class passes are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Can I pause or take breaks during class?
If you need to rest, you’re encouraged to take breaks anytime. Simply listen to your body and rejoin when you’re ready.
What if I’m late?
